Lakka on the Nintendo Switch

Turn your Nintendo Switch into a full-blown retrogaming console using the power of RetroArch !

Getting started

What is Lakka ?

Lakka is a Linux distribution aimed at turning small computer devices into retrogaming consoles. It is a minimal operating system using RetroArch as a front-end - it contains nothing more, nothing less than what's required for RetroArch and its 100+ supported consoles and standalone games.

And guess what - it runs on the Switch too, using the magic of ShofEL2 ! Prepare your SD card, boot the system and you're ready to go !

Easy to install and boot from any device

Lakka is super easy to install : just download the image and burn it to your SD card. You can then boot at home from your computer or anywhere with your Android device.

Play more than 45 different consoles

Lakka includes more than 100 different cores including the most popular consoles, but also some older or less known devices. There are also standalone games like free rewrites of Bomberman, Doom or Tomb Raider !

All the power of Lakka on your Nintendo Switch

Lakka supports the SMB protocol to copy all your games over Wi-Fi without installing anything. Want to play with your friend ? Enable netplay and kick his ass on Street Fighter !
